Before They Were Stars: Daughter of script supervisor Jules Mann-Stewart and stage manager and producer John Stewart, Kristen Stewart grew up surrounded by the entertainment industry. She assumed she’d work behind the scenes until an agent saw her in a Christmas program and helped kick-start her acting career. After auditioning for a year, she officially became a working actor at age nine.
Where Are They Now: Before Twilight, Stewart had already played lead roles in films such as Panic Room, Speak and The Messengers. She broke into the superstardom with the role of Bella Swan in the Twilight series. She also starred in Runaways and recently completed On the Road and Snow White and the Huntsman.
