Where Are They Now?
Snakkle Celebrates The 20-Year Anniversary Of Scent Of A Woman!
“The day we stop lookin', Charlie, is the day we die.“ Wise words from a blind man, a blind, alcoholic colonel with a death wish to be exact! Charlie Simms was just looking to make an extra buck over the holiday break and his job looking out for Frank Slade probably should have paid more. It’s been 20 years since the 1992 film was nominated for Best Picture, Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Actor at the Academy Awards. Snakkle finds out what the talented cast is up to now. Al Pacino as Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade in Scent of a Woman (1992)
Al Pacino’s Academy Award-winning role as Frank Slade as the abrasive, blind and alcoholic Colonel is a memorable one. He may be blind, but Frank can see a lot more than some, and he won’t hesitate to say so (including expletives)! Charlie keeps at eye on the sometimes-suicidal Frank, who ends up becoming more of a mentor than a job to Charlie. You may remember the scene in which Frank gives him some sage advice about woman and then proceeds to lead Donna in a perfect tango on the dance floor.
