On Fashion Star, Project Runway, and America’s Next Top Model, the judges seem to have all the answers on fashion, but were they always so well dressed and coiffed? We are looking at the fashion judges before they were stars to find out who was in and who was out.

Supermodels! They do not have super powers, but they can be quite spectacular. The role of the supermodel in our society has changed over the years, and the models themselves have expanded into areas that go far beyond modeling. Many of these lovely ladies have successful acting careers, at least one is a novelist, and another recently directed a documentary about childbirth. But enough talk. Let’s look at some supermodels before they were stars.
