Everyone loves a “rags to riches” story – especially in Hollywood and all its stories of a talented, young kid plucked from an underprivileged life and thrown into super stardom. But what about the “rich to richer” celebrities? Not every A-List actor or Billboard pop star waited tables to scrape by until they got their big break. The 2012 Billboard Music Awards, hosted by Modern Family’s Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell, honors the best and brightest artists that grace the top of the Billboard charts throughout the year. The KCAs are all grown up! This year marks the 25th annual telecast of the popular Nickelodeon awards show. But don’t worry; a celebrity or two is still guaranteed to get slimed. Kids (and many of their parents) will get to watch another star-studded event, with Will Smith hosting and none other than First Lady Michelle Obama presenting the Big Help Award to Taylor Swift for her philanthropic endeavors.
