The talented actress started out as a comedian in New York City… Believe it or not, one of her opening acts was a then-unknown Barbara Streisand! The comedian-turned-actress also tried her hand at writing and directing, earning an Oscar nod for her 1970 film adaptation of the Broadway comedy Lovers And Strangers, which she co-wrote with her husband. Renée Taylor’s role as Sylvia Fine was probably her most enduring comedic character on film and TV, but since then, she’s been busy with minor to major roles in TV, like her more recent appearance as Marilyn on Happily Divorced. You can look forward to seeing her in the 2013 film Tyler Perry’s Temptation.
