HOT GALLERY: Snakkle Unmasks the Many Personalities of The Dictator’s Sacha Baron Cohen
Who the heck is Sacha Baron Cohen? The British comedian first burst onto the pop culture scene in the late '90s as the character of Ali G, a dumb-as-rocks hip-hop chat show host who caught celebs in hilariously uncomfortable interviews. A huge success, Sacha Baron Cohen then used his chameleon-like talents to morph into a series of new characters, including Borat and Brüno, to make mockumentary films provoking average people and celebrities with his outrageous behavior and opinions. Cohen is at it again playing Admiral General Aladeen, a more outrageous version of Muammar Gaddafi, in the new comedy The Dictator. Snakkle looks back at Cohen’s rise to fame, both personally and professionally. By Tara Bennett

Sacha Baron Cohen as Signor Adolfo Pirelli in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)
Tim Burton cast Cohen to play the charlatan miracle elixir salesman Signor Adolfo Pirelli in his adaptation of Sondheim’s classic musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Cohen sang his own part just like the rest of the nontraditional cast.
