Sylvester Stallone in High School, 1965
Before Sylvester Stallone was an action hero, he was a child raised in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen, at times in foster care. Sly’s first role was for a soft-core porn film, The Party at Kitty and Stud’s (1970). Stallone later defended his decision by revealing that he had been homeless and living in the Port Authority bus station prior to accepting the part. “It was either do that movie or rob someone, because I was at the end, the very end, of my rope,” he has said.
