Looking Back
The Chart-Topping, Heartbreaking John Mayer Turns 35! Look Back at His Hits and Lovely Ladies Through the Years
Seems like just yesterday that fresh-faced, smoky-voiced John Mayer burst onto the pop music scene with his megahit “No Such Thing.” People everywhere connected to his nostalgic lyrics and ridiculously catchy melodies, and—since he was pretty easy on the eyes—a star was born. Since then, he’s won seven Grammys, sold millions of records, and left a trail of highly recognizable broken hearts in his wake. Let’s take you on a journey back at his amazing career—and his life off the stage. By Elizabeth Perkins

We're guessing this shot may have inspired Mayer's just-look-at-me-now anthem "No Such Thing" from his wildly popular debut album Room for Squares. Now, at 35, he's living the life: making hit record after hit record, touring the world, and loving some lovely ladies. Take that, high school!

I went to highschool with him and I have that yearbook edition. He couldn’t get a date to save his life back then! He always liked the really hot, way out of his league cheerleaders and one has her friends tell him to “leave her the eff alone” bc he was such a dork. Best musician by far though.

> So she was way outta his league back then, I guess life is funny that way. He’s light years outta of her league now. LOL… Glory is fleeting and so is beauty. BTW where’s the super hot cheerleader now? 4 kids and 200lbs later?

My comment earlier was because so many were bashing John. As I see Kat is too. So what he didn’t have any dates in high school. I didn’t either. Because of snobs, bullies, and just plain mean kids. John is not a dork. He is a human being who has every right to date, and be respected. Not put down and mocked.

Kat, so what he didn’t have any dates. A lot of people dont in high school. Its not that they are a dork or people are ‘out of their league’. The only thing that means, is that certain kids thought they were better. And where are those snotty cheerleaders now?? I’m not a big fan of Johns, but so what that he dates a lot now. Its nobody’s buisness, really.

Didn’t he attend Fairfield Get High?
Now all those bitches that shot him down are in miserable marriages, poppin pills, husbands who are “working” late. Karma’s funny.

Slow down guys, yes everyone should be treated with respect. Apparently John still is picking out those girls who are especially attractive, popular, etc. Perhaps its time to evaluate what you are looking for in a date? Is she kind. trust worthy, honest, sincere? Is she real? Can you trust her with your thoughts, secrets, etc. Do you have anything in common to even talk about, values, etc. Some people lack self esteen, some lack skills in dating or how to lead up to a good conversation that doesn’t mean they would be boring on a date. Give someone a chance, and be bold and let people know you care would be my advice.
