30 Years Later: Snakkle Finds Out Where The Celebrity Cast Of Police Drama T.J. Hooker Are Now!

William Shatner starred in the show as T.J. Hooker, the veteran cop hardened by his enforcement of the law, divorce and the traumatic shooting of his partner. In the season opener, Hooker is faced with the task of training new recruits who end up graduating to fellow officers. Hooker teaches his rookies how to survive the streets with his own hard-earned wisdoms that don’t necessarily go by the book.

Best known for his earlier career role as Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek, Shatner continues to star in major TV series and films. In 2004, he scored another hit show as Denny Crane on Boston Legal. With an extensive résumé including major advertisements and commercials to his name, Shatner wrote and published an autobiography in 2008 titled Up Till Now. Shatner spends his free time showing and breeding horses on his Versailles, Kentucky farm named Belle Reve with fourth wife, Elizabeth Anderson Martin.

Adrian Zmed played the rookie-turned-officer Vince Romano, who became partnered up with T.J. Hooker. The attractive and hot-tempered academy graduate tackles his job with enthusiasm, sometimes inciting stern lecture from mentor, Hooker. But Romano always has Hooker’s back, literally taking bullets for him, more than one for that matter!

Handsome Zmed continues to act in guest spots and recurring roles on TV shows. Zmed’s most notable role outside of T.J. Hooker was as Johnny Nogerelli in the film Grease 2 and in the Broadway production of “Grease” as well. Zmed has two sons from his first marriage to high school sweetheart, Barbara Fitzner, and could be seen performing as Nick in “Surf The Musical” at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas… which, sadly for his fans, recently closed, after only a 6 week run.

Ever the beautiful costar, Heather Locklear played Officer Stacy Sheridan, the Academy captain’s tenacious daughter. Sheridan’s move from a desk job to the streets means she’s eager to prove herself as more than the captain’s daughter. She takes on many roles in the TV show, mother to traumatized rape victims and even going so far as to volunteer to go undercover as a prostitute or exotic dancer, much to the chagrin of partner Jim Corrigan. After T.J. Hooker, Locklear enjoyed an immensely successful career on a string of hit TV shows like Dynasty, Melrose Place, and Spin City. The LA-native was a sex symbol and golden girl at the peak of her career in the late’90s and early millennium, which may explain some of her personal struggles, which include arrests and a suicide scare. The beautiful blond recently played her character Amanda Woodward in the Melrose Place revamp, and will appear in the fifth installment of the Scary Movie series in 2013.

James Darren played Officer Jim Corrigan in the hit series. The other vet in show, Corrigan is an old dog with new tricks. While being a cop is a tough calling, it’s sometimes even more demanding to look out for his young partner, Stacy Sheridan, not to say she can’t fend for herself! Corrigan is not above using fists to protect her though, suggesting there’s more to their partnership than camaraderie.

After fighting crime on the set of T.J. Hooker, actor-director James Darren starred alongside Hooker costar Heather Locklear in Melrose Place as Tony Marlin in 1999 and had a minor recurring role as Vic Fontaine in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Darren hasn’t acted since 2001, instead choosing to pursue a career in the music industry. Darren covers famous classics like Sinatra in concert, who knew that smooth-as-silk voice was hiding in uniform as Officer Jim Corrigan?

Richard Herd played the LCPD’s Captain Dennis Sheridan. Hooker and Sheridan have exchanges like old friends because the two go way back, before Stacy in fact: Hooker is her godfather! But Captain Sheridan is all about the book and following orders, which sometimes leads him to knock heads with Hooker, who often crosses the line in order to get the job done. With a daughter in the force and new recruits to mentor, the stalwart captain has plenty on his plate at the Academy.

Richard Herd is best known for his pre-T.J. Hooker role as John, the Visitors’ Supreme Commander in sci-fi miniseries V and V: The Final Battle. After commercial success on T.J. Hooker, Herd continued to land guest spot roles in TV series and movies. You might remember him as George Costanza’s boss Wilhelm in Seinfeld. Outside of acting, Herd paints and writes poetry. He is a recipient of the Wilkins Award for Poetry from the Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference and currently resides in Southern California with his wife, Pat.
