Now on DVD: Critic and Cult Fave The Sarah Silverman Program!
“Here it is in one box, y’all,” says Sarah Silverman. Check out Snakkle’s preview of the complete series box set of Comedy Central’s hilarious Sarah Silverman Program. By Snakkle StaffIf you’ve ever wanted to marry your dog or sue the ’90s classic Home Alone—and who hasn’t?—you’ll love the complete series of The Sarah Silverman Program on DVD by the peeps at Shout Factory!
For Silverman virgins out there, the dark-haired, sharp-tongued beauty is well know for her raunchy comedy stylings from HBO’s The Show with Bob and David, The Larry Sanders Show, There’s Something About Mary, Greg the Bunny, and most recently the new Muppets movie and cult favorite The League.
And if you are new to The Sarah Silverman Program, here’s a little breakdown:
The show allows us access into the day-to-day life of Sarah, who lives with her sister Laura (played by Laura Silverman) and her goofy-looking pup named Duck (Sarah’s real dog!). And to add tension and comedy, Laura is dating police officer Jay McPherson (Jay Johnston). Of course, Sarah can’t stand the dude. Sounds kinda normal, but trust us, there is nothing normal about Sarah licking her dog’s butt—just out of curiosity, of course.
If you are a full-fledged card-carrying, jersey-shirt-wearing fan, you will be in hog heaven. The four-DVD box set is chock-full of bonus features that will keep you inside on the couch (in your underwear) for days! So delight in digital and animated shorts, behind-the-scenes videos, audio commentaries, audition videos, the original pilot, the cast and creator panel at 2007 Comic-Con, and so much more!
Of course, you’re also getting 32 ridiculously deranged episodes of Silverman to enjoy with your geeky gay neighbors any time of the day or night. So check back in with the delightfully disturbing world of The Sarah Silverman Program today!
