Paul McCartney in 2012
Before he was Sir Paul, he was James Paul McCartney, born on June 18, 1942, in Liverpool, England. In 1957, he altered the course of music history when he met John Lennon at a church music festival. Soon after, the duo formed the band that became the Beatles with George Harrison and Pete Best. Several decades and more than 3,000 copyrights later (he holds the World Record!), McCartney has still got it. Here we see Sir Paul, Sgt. Pepper-style, performing at Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee on June 4, 2012.
