Check Out the Cast of Two and a Half Men Before They Were Stars

Then: Jones appeared in several movies, including See Spot Run (above) with David Arquette before his breakout role as Jake Harper on Two and a Half Men.

Now: Jones, who is legally blind in one eye, is one of the richest young stars in Hollywood, and allegedly pulled in more than $250,000 per episode. Jones certainly earned his paycheck and more than held his own (and has since the age of 10) alongside the comedic talents of Sheen, Cryer, and now Kutcher. We look forward to seeing what kind of projects Jones picks since his S11 departure.

Then: Fans of Pretty in Pink will always know Cryer as Duckie, who found himself the victim of unrequited love with his best friend Andie (Molly Ringwald). Cryer also costarred in films such as O.C. and Stiggs (above) and Hot Shots before making his way to television and recurring roles on Partners and The Trouble with Normal.

Now: Cryer won Emmys in 2009 and 2012 for his portrayal of chiropractor Alan Harper. Alan is known as the dorkier and less successful brother; for Charlie, everything always seemed to come easy. Since Charlie has been gone, Alan has had some luck in love and life.

Then: So, "baldy" is not the best look for this Clear Creek-Amana High School alum. Even future models have their off days. The acting bug hit Iowa native Kutcher early, and he honed his skills in high school plays. However, he didn’t make the move to Hollywood until discovered by a talent scout while he was majoring in biochemical engineering at the University of Iowa. Since his move west, he has starred in That '70s Show, The Butterfly Effect, and Killers.

Now: Kutcher replaced Sheen, entering the show as Walden Schmidt, an Internet billionaire with a broken heart. Kutcher doesn’t suffer from heartbreak in real life, as he is engaged to actress Mila Kunis. He was last seen playing Steve Jobs in the biopic Jobs.

Then: Taylor is a fixture on the stage and screen. Pictured above in the cult hit Romancing the Stone, she has also costarred in movies such as Legally Blonde, The Truman Show, and Baby Mama. You also might remember her from her recurring roles on Saved by the Bell: The College Years, The Practice, and The L Word.

Now: Taylor shines as Evelyn Harper, a successful L.A. real estate agent and the self-absorbed and conceited mother of Charlie and Alan. Her deadpan delivery and disparaging remarks may have her TV sons and grandson rolling their eyes, but she has the audience laughing.

Then: Most might remember her as the friend who elicited the classic line from Reese Witherspoon in Sweet Home Alabama: "Look at you! You have a baby.... In a bar!" But Lynskey started her career with two people who would later win Oscars. She starred alongside Kate Winslet in Peter Jackson’s Heavenly Creatures, which was based on the true story of two New Zealand teens whose obsessive friendship led to them murdering one of their mothers.

Now: Charlie’s “stalker” shocked everyone when she told them that even after two restraining orders, she and Charlie ran off to Paris to get married. That’s also where Charlie met his untimely demise by “falling onto the tracks” of the Paris subway after Rose caught him with another woman. Lynskey is finally getting her own TV starring role in HBO's Togetherness.

Then: Tanzanian-born and Boston-raised Hinkle performed theater at Newton South High School in Newton, Massachusetts (above), and has worked steadily in TV and film since the mid-1990s. She's perhaps best known for her role as Judy Brooks on Once and Again, which ran from 1999 to 2002.

Now: Hinkle plays Alan’s ex-wife Judith, who got everything in the divorce, forcing her “one and a half men” to move in with Charlie in the beginning of the series. Remarried on the show, her husband (played by Ryan Stiles of The Drew Carey Show and Whose Line Is It Anyway? fame) seems to prefer the company of the men to his wife. Hinkle will be seen in the upcoming movie Alex of Venice.

Then: Pictured above in Network, Ferrell has been a fixture on the big and small screens since the 1970s. She’s been featured on dozens of TV shows, including L.A. Law, Friends, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and ER. She’s also shared the silver screen with Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich, Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands, and Adam Sandler in Mr. Deeds.

Now: Ferrell’s sharp-tongued housekeeper keeps the men on their toes. Her perfect balance of comedic timing and sarcastic delivery has led to two Emmy nominations for this talented actress.

Then: The son of actor Martin Sheen, Sheen (born Carlos Estevez) was well known for his performances in such classic movies as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Platoon, Major League, Hot Shots, and Wall Street. He stepped in to replace Michael J. Fox in Spin City when Fox retired from the show due to Parkinson’s disease.

Now: Sheen has struggled publicly with addiction on and off for years, and has had more than one run-in with the law because of his drug problem. In March 2011, Sheen began a series of rants attacking the creator of Two and a Half Men, calling costar Cryer a “troll,” and claiming to have tiger blood. He became a tabloid sensation and set a record for most new Twitter followers in a 24-hour period. He was fired from the show and subsequently embarked on a critically panned national tour. Sheen appeared on the 2011 Emmy Awards, surprising everyone when he wished his former costars success with their new season. Sheen now stars on FX's Anger Management.
