Who’s the Next Ferris Bueller? Snakkle Recasts Some of Your Favorite Retro Flicks with Today’s Hottest Stars!
Hollywood is going remake crazy! First, a recharged version of Footloose premiered on October 14, and now a new take on the coming-of-age classic Dirty Dancing is in the works too. In this Snakkle gallery, we reimagine six Hollywood classic movies from the '80s with totally revamped casts. By Jenn Hoffman

Our Picks: Gilles Marini and Heather Morris
We can practically hear Gilles Marini’s sexy accent purring the famous words “Nobody puts baby in the corner,” and Heather’s Glee fans would definitely be gleeful to see her dance again on the silver screen. Just as Swayze played the older, more experienced man, we can totally see Gilles leading her into love. Plus, Gilles’ previous popularity on Dancing with the Stars will make him a mainstream box-office draw.

First,I have to say that I am NOT a fan of remaking classic shows/films.It has never worked out and I feel it never will. This is a particularly difficult one for me to accept for several reasons which all lead back to my being a huge fan of both Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. That said, these things will go on w/out my(or many other fans input, aside fro lack of viewship).I do catch DWTS many time, but for some reason I’m not familiar w/Marini.I do watch Glee faithfully(lol)and am familiar w/both Heather’s wonderrful dancing and her character,Brittney’s,” naïvety”.If she could bring some of that to the table maybe she could pull off the role of Baby.I’m not sure I would like Marini in the role of Johnny. He totally looks his nationality(which I am adding that I am not prejudice against him!!)which wouldn’t feel right since Johnny was caucasion.Again, please don’t misunderstand my thinking here.He is probably a wonderful dancer, actor and man.Just not our “Johnny”.

Seems like you picked Heather Morris to play Baby simply because she’s not traditionally beautiful and is a talented dancer. But she doesn’t have the acting chops to take on Baby in my opinion, though the vulnerability is definitely there…
