Snakkle Exclusive: Looking back, casting director Jane Jenkins tells Snakkle, “All the boys had a great deal of the characteristics that they were portraying.” Take her final choice for Gordie, Stand by Me’s heart and soul: “Wil Wheaton was sensitive, sweet, sincere,” she says. “All of those things that you needed for that Gordie Lachance character.”
