The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame—Stars Who Were Snubbed, and Stars Who Snubbed Back
We weren't surprised when Axl Rose announced he would skip Guns N' Roses' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. It did get us thinking, however. Many artists have snubbed the Hall over the years, including Sir Paul McCartney. But many musical mainstays have been themselves snubbed by the Hall's committee of "rock experts." British Heavy Metal Superstars Iron Maiden, 1980
Iron Maiden is kind of like Spinal Tap, except that they’re a real band and never opened for a puppet show (as far as we know). Arguably one of the most important heavy metal acts in history, their influence can be heard on numerous rock records. If you want big, loud arena rock, Iron Maiden is an easy choice. For the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, not so much.

I agree with Jasp my ex is a huge Janis Joplin fan, that doesn’t stop me. Good music isn’t owned by an individual (well, exepct for the person who wrote the song. I suppose they technically own the music). If there are bad memories associated with a song or whatever then I guess I see your point, but I can’t see me losing choice tunes because somebody might have been a tool not- no- way- no- how.
