Snakkle Looks Back as the Forever Queen of Daytime TV, Susan Lucci, Celebrates Her 65th!
All My Children may have been unceremoniously axed this year by ABC, but that’s not stopping its longtime star Susan Lucci from following in her character Erica Kane’s footsteps by moving onward and upward. Celebrating her 65th birthday, Lucci is selling a variety of Lucci label items on HSN and is guest-starring on another upcoming Hot in Cleveland and on the hit drama Army Wives in 2012. Snakkle looks back at the career and personal life of one of daytime television’s legends. By Tara Bennett

Lucci was called in to audition for the role of Erica Kane in a new soap opera shooting in New York City called All My Children. She bagged the part of Kane, the ambitious and haughty bad girl of Pine Valley, Pennsylvania. Kane quickly marries and becomes the bored wife of Dr. Jeff Martin (Charles Frank), until she breaks out of her traditional suburban role to become a model.
