Lizzie McGuire Love Interest Ethan Craft Reacts To Reunion Rumors
By Erin HumphreyTalk of a Lizzie McGuire reunion surfaced after the show’s star, Hilary Duff, admitted to HuffPost that she’d be down for one, so RumorFix.com wondered what would everyone’s favorite ditzy Disney heartthrob, Ethan Craft would think about it.
RumorFix.com spoke exclusively with Lizzie’s blond love interest [real name is Clayton Snyder], who tells us, a decade after the hit show came to an end, that he’d be all for getting back together with the cast!
“I’d be for it! It was an absolute blast playing Ethan, as well as working with both the cast and crew of the show,” Snyder tells RumorFix exclusively.
The 27-year-old, who took a break from acting to attend Pepperdine University and later pursue water polo professionally in Europe for three years, says a reunion show “would be ethanFun,” revealing that he’s also managed to stay in contact with a handful of the cast, including Jake Thomas, who played Lizzie’s dad Matt McGuire on the show. “We met up over sushi a couple months ago, and we hadn’t seen each other since the Lizzie McGuire Movie premiere [12 years ago]. It’s not easy staying in touch when you lead such different lives for such a long time, but since I’ve come back to acting it’s been fun reconnecting.”
But the question everyone is dying to know — has Mr. Ethan Craft kept in touch with the teenager who vied for his on-screen love for all those years? “No,” he tells us. “We haven’t kept in touch but if I saw her I wouldn’t hesitate to say hello. Honestly, I’d be excited to catch up. A lot has happened in the past decade for the both of us. Plus I’d love to meet her kid — that guy is adorable.”
And although Snyder has yet to be approached by producers regarding a possible reunion, he’s on board with Duff, and agrees they should “give the people what they want, right?”
But until then, Clayton will continue focusing on diving back into the acting world while making sketch videos on YouTube with “some very talented mates.”
